What services should an automated valet offer at an airport car park?

Three months. That’s how much time Stanley Robotics planned to develop a meaningful service offer based on their automated valet parking technology at a long-stay car park at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport.

Against a backdrop of the need to understand and overcome resistance to automated parking

Our action

Exploration phase to study user habits conducted directly at the Lyon airport, then developed further at an observatory on our Umagus platform.

Prototyping of user paths using storyboards and concrete formalisation of key user contact points (tickets, kiosks, etc.).

Service prototype testing by about 10 users based on defined scenarios.

Modelling with Umagus of all aspects required to implement the parking service: personas, experience paths, list of contact points, service blueprints.

A test project including six co-design workshops to share knowledge and select design options!
